ABOUT CAVITE STATE UNIVERSITY - SILANG CAMPUS
The birth of CvSU Silang Campus
In the early part of 2006, loads of requests from the members of the Silang community have been received by the local government for the establishment of the branch campus of Cavite State University. Believing in the aspirations of CvSU, Mayor Clarito A. Poblete representing the Local Government of Silang and Dr. Ruperto S. Sangalang, representing Cavite State University signed a Memorandum of Agreement on April 18, 2006 granting the creation of Cavite State University – Silang Campus. CvSU β Silang initially offered six curricular programs while holding fast to the theme βFocus to Build a Guaranteed Future.β The degree programs offered were: Bachelor of Science in Business Management, Bachelor of Science in Tourism and Resort Management, Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Landscape Design and Management, Bachelor of Science in Hotel and Restaurant Management and Diploma in Hotel and Restaurant Management.Milestones
One of the milestones of CvSU – Silang Campus was the signing of a Deed of Donation for 5000 square meters of lot which was done by then President of CvSU, Dr. DivinaΒ C. Chavez and Municipal Mayor Clarito A. Poblete on March 3, 2010.
Another milestone was the August 2010 ground breaking ceremony for the Multi-Purpose Gymnasium after the Provincial Government under the helm of Gov. Juanito Victor βJonvicβ Remulla promised to build one for the CvSU β Silang community. At a cost of over 10.5 million pesos, this gym is being eyed not just as a place for studentsβ academic and social activities but also as the center of future important activities in Silang town.
In addition, the construction of the second to fifth floor of CvSU Building 3 was initiated in September 2011 to accommodate the growing population of the Campus which is constantly improving every year.Β
Program Offerings
CvSU Silang offers eight degree programs in which all programs have already been accredited by the AACCUP. Ensuring the Universityβs vision and mission of providing an excellent, equitable, and relevant educational system, the campus has maintained quality services not only in instruction but also in research and extension. Currently, the campus has eight degree programs, namely: Bachelor of Science in Business Management (major in Financial Management, Marketing Management and Human Resource Development Management), Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Bachelor of Science in Psychology, Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Management, Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, Bachelor of Secondary Education (major in English, Science, and Mathematics) Bachelor of Early Childhood Education. The Campus has been consistent with its high ratings in the Licensure Examinations for Teachers and its employability rate in all program offerings.Research and Extension
CvSU Silang Campus also embarked on various researches with national and local funding in areas related to ICT and industrial competitiveness, societal development and equity, and public health and wellness. The Campus was able to complete fifty one (51) researches, published twenty seven (27) researches with sixty seven (67) number of citations. In addition, the Campus extensively engages in its community extension services through its SILAYAN 2.0 (Silang Isinusulong ang Layuning Abutin at Yumabong and Natuklasan) projects such as PinyaBuhay, The REACH Project, ABAKADA (Ang KaBAtaan ay KAyamanan, DApat turuan) Project and Psychological Wellness Program.

CvSU Silang thrives despite the many challenges it faces.
